11th International Conference “Problems of Forest Phytopathology and Mycology”

Forest Research Institute of the Karelian Research Centre RAS, Institute of Forest Science RAS, and RAS Scientific Council on Forest plan to organize the 11th International Conference “Problems of Forest Phytopathology and Mycology” to be held on October 10 to 14, 2022 at the premises of the Forest Research Institute of the Karelian Research Centre RAS, Petrozavodsk. We invite you to take part in our conference.
In view of the difficult epidemic situation, the conference will be held in a hybrid offline-online format.
The volume of abstracts (with ISBN coding) will be published online by the conference opening.

1. Taxonomy, biology and ecology of species and complexes of fungi and lichens.
2. Structure and functions of the fungal and lichen biota in forest communities.
3. Role of fungi in destruction processes and the formation of the structure of forests.
4. Distribution patterns of fungi and lichens in forests and non-forest areas and sites of various geneses and human uses.
5. Epiphytotic conditions and invasions of fungi, and solutions for restraining their harmfulness.
6. Silvicultural, chemical and biological methods for controlling the emergence and massive spreading of pathogenic fungi.
7. Timber protection against destruction by fungi.
8. Edible and medicinal fungal resources of forests.

March 31, 2022 – end of preliminary registration.
April 15, 2022 – abstract submission deadline.
July 29, 2022 – 2nd circular.
September 20, 2022 – 3rd circular and preliminary programme.

Submission format requirements
Papers 2 pages maximum are to be prepared in MS Word. Paper title is in uppercase letters. Name(s) of authors, affiliation(s), e-mail(s) are in lowercase, center aligned, with one blank line left both above and below. List of references has no caption, and is separated from body text by one blank line.
Page format is А4 with the following margins: 25 mm on the top, 20 mm on the left and right, 15 mm on the bottom. Font Times New Roman, 12-point. Single line spacing. First line 1 cm indented. No word breaks. Full justification. Tables and figures are aligned with text and anchored. Thorough editing by the authors is required.
Files with thoroughly edited content are to be e-mailed at forestcf@krc.karelia.ru, (Olga Predtechenskaya) and lesoved@mail.ru (Vladimir Storozhenko) not later than April 15, 2022.
No scientific or technical editing of the abstracts will be done.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to decline the submissions failing to fulfill the requirements or thematically irrelevant. The author shall be informed of the case.

Conference fee
Abstract publication and online participation are free of charge.
The conference fee and methods of payment for offline participants will be announced in the second circular.
